MCT Made In Minutes: City Thank You Card

by Veronica

Hey there! I'm sharing a simple card today that was inspired by this wintery night card I'd pinned months ago and just came across again while going through my boards.

This thank you card is special to me. It's the card I recently sent to one of my closest friends to thank her for inviting me to be her co-Matron of Honor. I'm so thrilled to be such a big part of her BIG Day! She and her fiancé love the downtown atmosphere, so this design is perfect for her!

MCT 39th Release Blog Hop: Love You To Pieces Tag

by Veronica

Today is the day!!! Emma is releasing her 39th edition of fabulous stamps and dies today and WHAT a release it is! If you've hopped here from Ruthie's blog, you're on the right track! If not, head on over to the MCT blog to start this Hop from the beginning. Trust me, you do NOT want to miss anything!

Today I'm showcasing the new set, The Last Piece to Our Family, along with the coordinating Stitched Puzzle Piece Dies. Usually, I create cards and tags on an as-needed basis. But I often wait until the last minute to create something and usually run out of time. So I've decided to start making things ahead of time (what a concept, eh?) so that no matter the occasion, I'll be ready!

This tag might grace a gift bag one day. Or perhaps it'll hang off of a beautiful bow that ties up a little package. Who knows?! Either way, it's ready when I am and that's a beautiful thing.

MCT Sneak Peek: Featuring Best Bots Forever & Heart 2 Heart Love Frame Dies

by Veronica

It's a celebration! This New Release marks 4 years that MCT has been offering fabulous, top-of-the-line stamps and dies. Woohoo!

Today, I'm featuring two new products for this release. First up is the Heart 2 Heart Love Frame Dies set.

I added a few older products with this new heart die on this card. I first tried to combine sentiment stamps to create the saying I had in mind, but the little paper on the typewriter is so small and I couldn't get anything to fit. I've been interested in learning hand lettering and improving my own handwriting skills, so after a few practice rounds on my scratch paper, I gave it a go. I'm quite happy with how it turned out!

MCT Products used
Once Upon A Time (typewriter stamp)
Fun Paper Airplane (heart flight line)
NEW! Heart 2 Heart Love Frame Die (stitched heart frame) Available Friday, 1/16/15

The next set I'm featuring is Best Bots Forever. This stamp set is not only adorable; it includes coordinating dies so you don't have to fussy cut the super cute robots! Woot!

I dressed up my little robot to withstand the cold weather here in Michigan. Her hat is actually a combination of the stamped hat from You're So Cool (in front) and the hat from Winter Snowman Dies (in back). While I personally think it was a clever idea to use both, it wasn't exactly a stroke of genius on my part. I liked different things from each hat so I decided to throw them together. Simple as that!

MCT Products Used
You're So Cool (stamped hat, mug, steam)
Winter Snowman Dies (hat with tassels)
4x4 Journal Die (striped background layer)
NEW! Best Bots Forever (robot, sentiment) Available Friday, 1/16/15

This special card made its way across the country to Miss Emma earlier this week. Everyone loves to receive a little Happy Mail, right? Speaking of which...

***Sneak Peek Giveaway!***
We will be giving away the sets we are showcasing each day to ONE lucky winner! Today's winner will be announced tomorrow in Emma's video on her blog.

MCT Inspiration Wednesday: Beauty Phone Case

by Veronica

One of my favorite parts of a new year is picking a new Angel Word. One of my best friends, Jenn, is known for buying these little cards and letting people (friends, friends of friends, strangers even) blindly pick one out of a box and it becomes your word for the year. It has been so much fun to see how each word I've chosen over the last four years have played out in my life.

This year, my word is Beauty. Isn't that fantastic? I pray that throughout the year I'll find beauty everywhere! Speaking of beauty...

As I was mindlessly scrolling through my Facebook News Feed, I came across this stunning photo that a friend had taken right outside her home. I fell in love with this photo and immediately made it my phone screen wallpaper.

The colors, the trees - I love everything about this photo. Since it's about time that I update my phone case, and I love having this photo as my screen wallpaper, I figured I'd make a new phone case inspired by this beautiful photo and my Angel Word.

MCT Products Used
Stitched Pretty Flowers Die (white starburst)
Girls' Night Out Stamp Set (I merged two stamps from this set to create "Beauty")

I just love having a clear phone case that I can re-design on a whim!

Be sure to pop by the MCT blog to see what the other designers have been inspired by today.

I hope YOU were inspired, too!

New Year, New Design Team

by Veronica

Happy New Year!!!

I hope you had a wonderful holiday season - we did! After 3 days filled with Christmas and a pretty quiet night with friends on New Year's Eve, I'm so looking forward to what 2015 has to offer!

I am so excited to announce that I will be continuing on the Design Team for My Creative Time this year. I'm absolutely honored that Emma asked me back! She's so much fun to 'work' with (is this work?!?!?!) and has such fabulous products. What a treat!

Since you're here, I might as well share a project, eh? I've hopped on the sequin bandwagon and have been really enjoying adding a little sparkle to my cards.

This card is all about the dies! I didn't use any stamps on it at all. The simple background pattern is what makes the focal point really POP.

MCT Products Used
Perfect Picture (Instacam dies, "Oh Snap!")
Fun Speech Bubbles
3 Stitched Star Dies (flash)

Thanks for stopping by today! You can see ALL of the new designers on the MCT blog.

MCT Made In Minutes: SPECtacular Birthday Card

by Veronica

This weekend, we celebrated our niece, Evelyn's, 8th birthday. Wow! I can't believe how fast she's growing up!!! This simple, but so perfect-for-Evy birthday card was made just for her.

MCT Products Used
What's Growing On? (glasses die)
Alpha Pack (letters to create sentiment)
Stitched Square Speech Bubbles (speech bubble die)

I've been seeing a lot of sequins being used lately, and I must say, I wasn't a huge fan of the trend myself. But then I bought my own sequins...

...and of course, now I love them. They are such a simple little something to add dimension and flair to a card.

Thanks for stopping by today. There are more Made In Minutes projects to see on Emma's blog (plus winners from last week's 5 Days of Christmas!) Check it out!

I hope you were inspired!

MCT 5 Days of Christmas: Reindeer Invitations

by Veronica

My Creative Time is wrapping up the 5 Days of Christmas today. If you haven't been following along on the MCT blog, check it out! Emma and the designers have created some fabulous Christmas projects for you to see this week!

Today I'm sharing with you our annual Christmas Eve Eve invitation. Each year, The Hubs and I get to celebrated Christmas for three full days beginning with two days before Christmas. On December 23rd, we host my side of the family in our home for dinner, presents and quality family time.

This year, I've used the super classy leaping reindeer die from Oh Deer as the focus of our invitations. The "believe" die from Boughs of Holly works perfectly beneath it. I also used a Stitched Rectangle Die and a circle die from Bunch of Fun Circles to keep the card simple, but interesting.

Thank You cards from Mara-mi
My card fronts are actually built on a pre-existing thank you card that I found for a STEAL from Target. These card/envelope sets sell for $10.99 online. I picked up three packs for less than $3 each. With 30 sets in the pack, that's less than $.10 per set! The cards are embossed in wood grain and the envelopes feature printed wood grain, too.

I originally purchased them to use as bases for my sister-in-law's upcoming baby shower thank you notes. Of course, I loved them so much myself that I made sure to pick up one extra box for me!

***5 Days of Christmas Giveaway***
Emma has had awesome giveaways all week and today is no different!

To qualify for a chance to win today's giveaway, simply leave your comments on the designers' blogs. Please remember also to leave an email address for us to contact you if you are a LUCKY winner! You still have the weekend to leave your comments. Emma will announce ALL five days of winners on her blog Monday, December 8, 2014! Good luck!

Thank you so much for stopping by to share some Christmas cheer with me today! You can check out Emma's blog to see what the other designers have up their sleeves for you.

I hope you were inspired!
